The Vello BG-N16-2 Battery Grip is specifically designed for for the Nikon D5500 and D5600 DSLR cameras. It accepts two EN-EL14/EL-114a batteries to double the camera's battery life, shooting time, and video recording time. Additionally, the grip offers a comfortable, extended, and rubberized nonslip grip, and a shutter release button for vertical use allows you to shoot without your arm and hand in an awkward position.

When shooting in a horizontal position, you can lock the grip shutter button with the control lock, so you don't accidentally fire the camera. An optional six-bay AA battery tray is included when the rechargeable battery packs are not available. The supplied IR remote allows you to fire the camera wirelessly in line-of-sight, and the grip maintains tripod support with a threaded 1/4"-20 socket on the bottom.
