MASH technology makes each footswitch an expression controller with customizable mapping. Each TonePrint can be adjusted quickly with three simple knobs, and you can assign specific effect parameters to each knob. Low-noise stereo inputs and outputs provide you with enormous creative possibilities and plenty of headroom, an expression pedal input offers further creative wiggle room, and 5-pin DIN MIDI connections make it easy to connect Plethora X5 to external gear, such as control units for switching boards. Customize everything wirelessly via Bluetooth LE and the TonePrint app. The Plethora X5 includes a 9 VAC power adapter.

Drive pedals are at the heart of building your own tone. As such, you should have the choice to integrate your favorite stompboxes into the signal chain.

Plethora's FX insert loop lets you add your preferred flavor of gain anywhere on the board you like. You can also use the insert for a 4-cable method setup with your amplifier, letting you choose which effects go in front of your amp's input and which effects live in your amp's effects loop.

With expressive, pressure-sensitive MASH footswitches, you can create volume swells, modulation ramping, fluid mix control, and so much more. Each MASH footswitch lets you control your effects in real time by simply mashing down on the footswitch. With each MASH switch controlling up to three effect parameters simultaneously through completely customizable action curves, your always-on effects suddenly grew a whole new dimension.

Tape Deck Looper is a RAM-based looper exclusive to the Plethora. With record and playback times of 40 seconds in stereo and 80 seconds in mono, you'll have more than enough reel to lay down some dirty loops. Load up to five of these loops onto a board and position them anywhere in the signal chain.

A certain song might sometimes call for separate parameter control outside of what the MASH switches provide. Plethora X5 features an Expression input to hook up your favorite expression pedal to control any effect you like or add an extremely useful volume pedal anywhere in the board's signal chain.

Plethora X5 is the first TC pedal to feature Bluetooth, letting you connect to the TonePrint app to load custom FX. Using the free TonePrint app, you can connect your phone to Plethora and arrange your boards to get everything just the way you like it.

With Plethora's Quick Swap feature, it's a breeze to experiment with pedal routing. Just hold down the footswitches of two pedals you'd like to swap around, and it's done.

Preset boards are nice, but what about the old-school stompbox experience? Hot Knobz lets you assign the three black knobs on Plethora X5 to simultaneously control any pedal parameters on your board for real-time tweaking in Play mode. Touch and feel your effects.

As an added bonus, TC Electronic included nine optional global cab simulations made in-house using a proprietary TC method. This makes direct-to-PA gigs and home recording sessions a breeze. The options even include bass cabinets for bass players.
