Sirui 35mm F/1.8 Anamorphic Overview
This 35mm f/1.8 Super35 Anamorphic 1.33x Lens from Sirui adds 1.33x anamorphic squeeze to your images to achieve standard 2.4:1 widescreen aspect ratios. Designed for Super35/APS-C cameras with a Canon RF mount, the lens features an aperture range of f/1.8 to f/16. A lens construction of 13 elements in 9 groups creates the characteristic, stretched oval bokeh of anamorphic lenses for a unique cinematic look.
The focus ring is capable of rotating 191.2° for intuitive control. A 67mm filter thread allows you to add compatible filters and customize your exposure. Markings on the lens are in both feet and meters. When used with a full-frame sensor, the 35mm lens is equivalent to a 37mm lens horizontally.

How to get Anamorphic at low price. this lens is an afordable product with great quality build. I love the render and I can't separate from it. you can't find cheaper for this exceptionnal lens
Dark corners in APSC mode (m43 is fine)
I bought the 35mm lens + Sony e-mount adapter in one transaction. According to a few reviewers, the APSC/m43 (35mm, f1.8) lens could be used on a full frame Sony using its Clear Image Zoom at 1.2x (full frame mode), but that was NOT case with my latest experience. This 35mm anamorphic lens' image circle, to my eyes, is strictly designed for m4/3 cameras. For (e-mount adapted) Sony users, once you enter the APSC mode, you will still find dark corners, and the only way to get rid of them is to use 1.3x(in APSC mode). If I had known this, I would have simply chosen Sirui's competitor: Sigma 18+35mm f1.8. At least it doesn't give dark corners and has the same Field of View (as the Sirui anamorphic has a 47mm horizontal focal length now which means little advantage over Sigma's 35mm APSC). And on the side note, Sirui really should not advertise the lens as an APSC/m43 dual-frame model, simply because dark corners are clearly visible in APSC mode and the wording is misleading.
nice picture quality
just mount and shoot! if your camera is in the 16:9 mode, the picture on the preview screen looks almost like with a normal lense. in post, you'll desqueeze and baam.. got the cinematic look.
New phase of video making
The lens works great - I am also getting the 50mm. With a couple of filters I'll be exploring a new phase of video making. I have mainly done reporting videos so far. Now moving into pretty - and it will be fun.

Revis muchos videos y comentarios sobre esta lente y todos coincidieron con su calidad. Lo primero que llama la atencin es el detalle en el empaque: fuerte, pero artstico. Lo segundo es la calidad del material: no se siente como una lente barata. Y por supuesto, lo impresionante es la calidad del lente: es impresionante lo que se logra cuando se descomprime la imagen. Al compararlo con otros lentes anamrficos, me parece increble que cueste tan poco cuando tiene la misma calidad. Voy a comprar el 50mmm y otros ms!

I don't have any experience with other more expensive anamorphic lenses but this one for me is great and give my video that cinematic look right out of the box. Built quality is top, all-metal rock solid.
