Haida Greystone ND Filter Overview
This 10-stop, 49mm Haida Greystone Multicoated ND Filter features an ultrathin, aircraft-grade aluminum filter ring, which helps prevent vignetting on wider lenses or when stacking multiple filters. This filter, also referred to as a 1000x ND, evenly reduces exposure by 10-stops making it suitable for still, movie, and video applications. For still photos, the 10-stop reduction allows you to take pictures with a long exposure time, which can help create ethereal looking landscapes that are both sharply in focus yet have a blurred effect on portions of the frame with moving subjects such as waves. With movie and video productions, the 10-stop reduction allows you to shoot with a wide-open aperture in extremely bright conditions and gain control over your depth of field.
