A legend is back and better than ever with the Compressor 280 from DOD, a compression pedal that can tame the wildest peaks and help to even out the dynamics in your playing, especially between single notes and chords. With the Compressor 280, you can tear through licks that blend numerous techniques together without dramatic changes in volume or sustain, producing consistent performances.

The Compressor 280 features 1/4" TS Hi-Z input and output jacks, a typical metal footswitch, and a crisp blue LED power indicator. The new lightweight aluminum chassis is durable without being bulky, and the pedal supports power from either a 9V battery or a 9 VDC power supply, such as the Digitech PS0913DC.

The DOD Compressor 280 will help you manage the dynamic range of the input signal from your instrument. Compressing your dynamic range will make notes sustain longer, the sound seem tighter, and help you avoid clipping the signal going into other effects or your amplifier.

Based on the legendary DOD Compressor 280 circuit design, but with updated components, this pedal is powerful, easy to operate, and maintains signal quality in complicated pedalboards thanks to its true bypass circuit, which the previous version lacked. The easy-to-read blue LED indicator lets you know when power is running through the pedal, and the modern 9 VDC power supply input makes it very pedalboard friendly.

The new Compressor 280 has been redesigned with a lighter aluminum chassis for easy transport without sacrificing durability. The finish is an orange metallic flake with a flat black matte bottom, an eye-catching design that will stand out in your pedalboard.

Most guitarists and bassists will favor placing the Compressor 280 at the beginning of their chain of effects.
