Direct Sound DS60 Overview
The black DS-60 Grenade from Direct Audio is a workhorse condenser microphone ready for a wide range of vocal and instrumental recording and broadcasting applications. The mic's cardioid polar pattern helps to focus audio capture on the sound source in front of the capsule, picking up less unwanted off-axis sound and room reflections for clearer vocal and instrumental recordings with less bleed from other sources. The DS-60 features a wide frequency response from 20 Hz up to 20 kHz, ensuring crisp, intelligible results with plenty of bottom-end and a slightly pronounced midrange for a rich, broadcast-ready vocal tone without over-exaggerated high-end frequencies and distractingly prevalent "S" sounds.
The DS-60 includes a shockmount that isolates the mic from vibrations and handling noise for smoother recordings without low-end thumps that can ruin a vocal take or podcast. A carrying case is also supplied for storage and transport.
