Ideal for Speedlites and shoe-mounted accessories like the EL-1, 600EX II-RT, ST-E3-RT, OC-E3 Flash Cord, and others, this adapter maintains a complete weather-sealed design and provides a secure connection to current updated shoe type.
This adapter can also be used with other shoe-mounted accessories, such as shotgun mics or on-camera lights, and features dual-locking pins on the Multi-Function Shoe side for a secure attachment.

Why does this even have to exist?
I bought this so I could connect the EL-1 flash and the wireless flash transmitter to my EOS R3. It works, but the adapter is another item you have to carry around, and it adds about an inch to the top of the camera. I wish the top of the camera had been designed such the adapter wasn't necessary in the first place.
Multi-Function Shoe Adapter
Works like a charm. Needed this to attach my older flash to my new R-3 camera. Works seamless and without any fuss, just does its job.
Required For PocketWizard and Older Speedlights
If you own a Canon camera with a multi-function hotshot and use older speed lights or strobe triggers you need this adapter. It has a lock that prevents it from coming loose until unlocked and works flawlessly with my PocketWizard Plus III on the R3.
