Product Overview
LT1303CN8-5#PBF is a micropower, high-efficiency step-up DC/DC converter utilizing Burst Mode operation. It is particularly suited for small, low-voltage battery-operated systems. The LT1303 is an adjustable version capable of supplying an output voltage of up to 25V. Its quiescent current is only 120µA from the battery, and the shutdown pin further reduces the current draw to 10µA. Additionally, the low-battery detector provides an open-collector output that goes low when the input voltage drops below a preset level. The on-chip NPN power switch exhibits a low 170mV saturation voltage at a switch current of 1A. It is used in applications such as EL panel drivers, 2-cell and 3-cell to 5V conversion, palmtop computers, portable instruments, bar-code scanners, PDAs, wireless systems.
- Quiescent current is 120µA typical at (VSHDN = 0.5V, VSEL = 5V, VSENSE = 5.5V)
- Input voltage is 1.55V typical at (TA = 25°C, VIN = 2.0V)
- Oscillator frequency is 155KHz typical at (current limit not asserted, TA = 25°C, VIN = 2.0V)
- Switch leakage current is 10µA maximum at (VSW = 5V, switch off)
- Peak switch current is 1A typical at (VIN = 2V)
- Output sense voltage is 5V typical
- Output hysteresis is 22mV typical
- Switch saturation voltage is 130mV typical at (ISW = 700mA)
- 95% maximum duty cycle
- Operating temperature range from 0°C to 70°C, 8-lead PDIP package
