Proaim BP12C-BMP40R Overview
The Proaim 12' Carbon Fiber Boompole with XLR Cable and Blimp-Style Windshield combines a 12' carbon fiber boompole with a blimp-style windshield and a microphone shockmount, giving location sound recordists and boom operators an effective system for reducing handling noise and wind noise during outdoor shoots.
The boompole features three sections and an adjustable length from 3.6' when collapsed to 12' when fully expanded. The supplied shockmount is compatible with an array of popular microphones including the Rode NTG1, NTG2, and NTG3, the AKG C451 B, the Audio-Technica AT897, AT875R, BP4029, BP4073, and AT4073A, the Neumann KMR 81i, the Sanken CS-1, the Schoeps CMIT 5U and CMC6 microphone preamp, the Sennheiser MKH 416, MKH 415, MKH 418S, MKH 60, ME 66, and ME 64, and the Shure SM81.
Proaim Carbon Fiber Boompole with XLR Cable (12')
Reduce strain on your arms and keep your audio clean with the 12' Carbon Fiber Boompole with XLR Cable from Proaim. The lightweight carbon fiber pole features foam padding to comfortably grip the pole, and it's light enough to hold for extended shots. The length extends from 3.6 to 12'.
The included XLR cable runs inside the pole from end to end to avoid unwanted cable snags or pulls. There is a 3/8"-16 screw on the top of the pole that allows you to mount a wide variety of microphone mounts or blimps. A carry bag is also included to store and transport the boompole.
Proaim Blimp Microphone Windshield
The Proaim Blimp Microphone Windshield is a complete system for shielding your microphone from wind noise without negatively affecting the audio quality when recording in windy conditions. The windshield, also known as a zeppelin, is compatible with a variety of microphones, and it features a shockmount that helps prevent vibrations from affecting the audio your mic captures. The shockmount features three supports, each with four elastic bands that hold your mic secure while isolating it from vibration and jarring movements.
The shockmount also doubles as a grip for handheld use, and it features an integrated threaded hole for mounting onto a boompole. A built-in locking lever enables adjusting the angle of the mic relative to the handgrip�a necessity when working with a boompole. An included wind muff fits over the windshield for use on exceptionally windy days.
