The Story

The NC3MXX-EMC from Neutrik is a 3 pole male EMC-XLR cable connector. This latch lock device is specifically designed version of the XX series to give enhanced RF screening for critical applications in live performance and recording where there are particular problems with radio transmission or mobile phones. The design guarantees a continuous RF shield connection from the cable to the chassis connector housing via a circular capacitor around the cable shield. The circular capacitors act as high-pass filter with a cut-off frequency around 10MHz and avoid ground loops as there is no LF-shield connection to ground.
  • Rugged zinc die-cast shell, long lasting and durable
  • Chuck type polyacetal (POM) strain relief system for secure clamping of cables
  • Boot (polyurethan) with rubber gland gives high protection against bending stresses
  • Cable shield, pin 1 connection includes EMI suppression bead to block high frequencies
  • Brass (CuZn39Pb3) contact with gold plating
  • Polyamide (PA 6.6 30 % GR) insert, zinc die-cast (ZnAl4Cu1) shell with nickel plating
  • Dielectric strength of 1.5KVDC, 5A rated current per contact and rated voltage < 50V
  • Lifetime > 1000 mating cycles, maximum wire size of 20AWG (0.75mm²)
  • Flammability rating meets UL 94 HB, IEC 61076-2-103 standard compliance, IP 40 protection class
  • Temperature range from -30°C to +80°C
