The Miller CX14 SOLO-Q 100 3-Stage Tripod is a compact and lightweight tripod system that brings smooth yet precise pan and tilt control to cameras and rigs weighing up to 30.9 pounds. It features the CX14 fluid head, carbon fiber legs, a carry strap, and a tripod bag for storing and carrying all your gear.
The head features a sliding balance plate, independent pan and tilt locks, five steps of pan and tilt drag, 15 steps plus a zero setting of counterbalance for fine-tuning the head's operation, a precision bubble level, and an integral 100mm ball for leveling. The included Solo-Q carbon fiber legs feature three stages, providing a height range of 15.4 to 80.4", while selectable leg angle locks ensure rapid setup and excellent stability without a spreader. The 100mm bowl allows for quick leveling, optimum torsional rigidity, and long-term durability.
Miller CX14 Fluid Head
The Miller CX14 Fluid Head is designed to accommodate a wide payload range with 16 steps of counterbalance. The head has a tilt range of +90 to -75°, which allows you to tilt the camera straight down, then nearly straight up. Pan, tilt, and counterbalance can all be set to zero, for totally free movement of the head, often useful for whip pans. The fluid head accommodates cameras and rigs weighing up to 30.9 pounds, more than adequate for use with small cinema cameras with rigs or medium sized ENG camcorders. The sideload plate design enables you to simply drop in your camera from the top without the alignment issues posed by rear-loading variations. The plate offers 2.4" of sliding range to balance your rig.
The CX14 is die-cast from a lightweight, yet durable metal alloy with composite polymers and precision ball-bearings for smooth mechanical operation. Even in harsh conditions, the CX14 will perform reliably. The base of the CX14 is a removable 100mm ball for mounting to compatible tripods and grip equipment. An illuminated bubble level makes it easy to level the CX14 in dark environments. A fixed length pan handle is included, and an integrated second rosette is available for attaching an optional second pan handle.

The Miller Pan Handle for Compass15 and Compass20 Fluid Heads is a 16mm fixed-length pan arm. The main tube is black-anodized aluminum alloy and features a comfortable rubber grip.
