Unique Hood
Always amazed with the craftsmanship of Leica gear, but the QP matte finish is on a new level of classy. I was honestly surprised that the hood is still available! AJ
This ones stays on.
Love the Leica Q-P, however the lens hood that came with the camera never fit correctly. Besides never having the proper alignment, it would loosen and falling off the lens, Decided to spend the $100 and replace it. This new lens hood fits well and stays on.
Not for Q2
Although this will fit a Q2, don't order it unless you don't care about matching the finish. This is not like the original Q or Q2 hood, it is very matte like super dull. I suppose it works for the Q-P, possibly - I've never seen one in person.
Crisp fit
Good fit, easy on-off, but not so easy it falls off.
Perfection
Perfect for the 28mm Leica Q-P lens, which shouldn't be a surprise. Good and solid metal construction, it not only avoids undesired lights and glare, but also protects the lenses very well from impact (I had to replace the one that came with my camera due to an accidental hit against a wall). Perfectly accurate screw mount. And gives the camera a very unique style and esthetic.
