Freqport FT-1 freqtube Overview

Process up to four mono tracks in your favorite DAW with the Freqport FT-1 freqtube, a multi-channel analog hardware processor with a software plug-in interface (VST3, AU, AAX) that's designed for professional audio systems on Mac and Windows computers. The FT-1 features four independent tube channels that can be combined for mono, stereo, or any combination. The FT-1 aims to reinvent analog through core technology that allows hardware to run as plug-ins within your own digital workflow.

The all-metal enclosure houses two E83CC and two 12AT7 tubes as well as professional-grade ESS AD/DA converters that operate at 32-bit/ 192 kHz resolution. The box features eight assignable control knobs and a high-resolution full-color display. The plug-in provides two multi-mode filters arranged as primary for the processed (wet) signal and parallel for the unprocessed (dry) signal. There is also harmonic and drive control for dialing in subtle warmth to full-on sonic destruction. All parameters can be automated and provide instant recall between sessions and presets.

Analog Reinvented
  • Analog warmth: move away from all-digital processing and bring real analog processors into your mixďż˝and keep all the benefits of digital control.
  • Hassle-free analog: connected simply by USB-C means the hassles of spaghetti-cabling or complex audio setup in your software are gone.
  • Zero recall: recall all of your analog settings instantly within the plugin. No longer do you need to deal with the pain of trying to replicate settings on your analog kit.
  • Multi-instance analog: multiple analog processing circuits allow more than one audio signal to be processed at the same time within your digital workflow. This is impossible with single-circuit analog processors.
  • Fully automated: automate all analog controls along with audio through the plugin. Forget your MIDI patchbay, CV converter, daisy chains, and complicated routing.
  • Vacuum tubes to die for: four independent tube channels, two tube types from premium brands such as JJ and Electro-Harmonix, parallel and primary analog processing paths for each channel with true analog mixing.
  • Bit-perfect professional audio: supporting up to 192 kHz sample-rate with ultra-low jitter pro converters built-in coupled directly into the analog circuit for optimal performance.
  • Character control: directly control the harmonics of the saturation from even and odd. Overdrive for more aggressive sound. Eight onboard hardware filters can be enabled to sculpt the sound even further.
